Drama
July 2008Drama is a women’s clothing boutique in Uptown Minneapolis. Owned by my sister. And yes, I did this one pro bono…and I’ve never let her forget it. She wanted something that made you feel like you were actually inside the store, and also conveyed a night-life sensibility. This was accomplished by matching the color palette to the brick-and-mortar space, and using a thin san-serif typeface. You’re welcome, Courtney.

Camp Help/Systems
June 2008Going along with the whole “old stuff from summer camp” theme, I gave the logo with a retro, weathered look. It suggests a stamp, perhaps a merit badge, or a circular, emblem-type logo which were quite stylish in the 40’s and 50’s.
The rest of the Camp Help/Systems swag can be found here.

Style In The City
June 2008This logo was created for a fashion event in Minneapolis. It was supposed to be geared towards young, fashion-obsessed women, so I gave it a clean trendy feel, but with a slightly softer, more feminine spin on the sleek ultra-modern “nightlife” look. The event itself, unfortunately, never happened, making this a phantom logo. Which makes it sound like a Scooby Doo villain. Anyway, I’ve actually used a part of this logo elsewhere. I needed to draw a fireball for a t-shirt design, so I just re-purposed the girl’s hair–how’s that for recycling?
