This one was a favor for a co-worker. Her husband had a side business as an independent contractor, specializing in the titular remodel and repair. I saw it as an opportunity to bring a little style to an industry whose best marketing tactic is to have a bunch of A’s at the beginning of your name, so you show up first in the phone book. His nickname being “Rosey,” he wanted some sort of rose on there, but didn’t want it to be “too girly.” I offset this with a masculine font and bold, thick lines. I also made it look like it was printed on a hockey puck, because nothing is manlier than hockey, with one possible exception: caber tossing.
